Desakan agar Sudewo mundur ini buntut dari kebijakan yang sempat dikeluarkan Sudewo terkait kenaikan tarif Pajak Bumi dan Bangunan Perdesaan dan Perkotaan (PBB-P2) sebesar 250 persen menuai gelombang protes.
Kebijakan tersebut sudah dibatalkan, namun sayangnya warga terlanjur panas dengan kebijakan Sudewo. Terlebih Sudewo sempat juga mengeluarkan pernyataan tidak takut di demo warga.
DPRD Pati kemudian menyepakati hak angket dan membentuk panitia khusus pemakzulan Bupati Patu Sudewo, Rabu (13/8).
Direktur Eksekutif Komite Pemantau Pelaksanaan Otonomi Daerah (KPPOD) Herman Suparman menganalisis kemarahan Warga Pati akibat buruknya komunikasi Sudewo dalam merancang kebijakan.
Ditambah lagi Sudewo tidak melibatkan partisipasi masyarakat dalam membuat kebijakan dan juga sikapnya yang arogan mengaku tidak takut dengan pendemo.
"Problem utama yang terjadi di Pati itu pertama komunikasi dalam perancangan kebijakan," ungkap Herman dalam program OnFocus Tribunnews, Kamis (14/8/2025).
