Rencana pengurangan batasan minimal luas tanah dan bangunan rumah subsidi ini tertuang dalam draf aturan terbaru yang beredar dan sedang dirancang, berupa Keputusan Menteri PKP Nomor/KPTS/M/2025 tentang Batasan Luas Tanah, Luas Lantai, dan Batasan Harga Jual Rumah dalam Pelaksanaan Perumahan Kredit/Pembiayaan Fasilitas Likuiditas Pembiayaan Perumahan, serta Besaran Subsidi Bantuan Uang Muka Perumahan.
Minimal luas tanah dari 60 meter persegi direncanakan berkurang menjadi 25 meter persegi. Sementara itu, minimal luas bangunan 21 meter persegi berkurang menjadi 18 meter persegi.
Lippo Group, salah satu perusahaan ternama di bidang properti, telah merancang sendiri desain rumah dengan minimal luas yang telah disesuaikan ini.
