DPR Desak Pemerintah Memperkuat Pengawasan PT Gag Nikel Gegara Masih Beroperasi di Raja Ampat

PT Gag Nikel merupakan satu-satunya perusahaan yang masih diizinkan untuk beroperasi di kawasan tersebut.
Terhadap empat perusahaan yang telah dicabut izin usaha pertambangan (IUP), Mukhtarudin menyampaikan apresiasi kepada pemerintah.
Empat perusahaan itu di antaranya PT Anugerah Surya Pratama, PT Nurham, PT Mulia Raymond Perkasa, dan PT Kawei Sejahtera Mining, pemerintah telah mencabut izin usaha pertambangan (IUP).
Menurut Mukhtarudin, keputusan ini sejalan dengan mandat Presiden Prabowo Subianto untuk memperkuat tata kelola pertambangan yang akuntabel dan berorientasi keberlanjutan.
Sekretaris Fraksi Partai Golkar DPR ini juga mendukung langkah pemerintah yang memastikan akan mengawasi PT Gag Nikel.
Dalam konferensi pers di di Istana Kepresidenan, Jakarta, Selasa, Menteri ESDM Bahlil Lahadalia mengatakan bahwa Pulau Gag yang kini disorot karena masalah tambang nikel bukanlah bagian dari kawasan Geopark Raja Ampat.
Bahlil mengungkapkan, Pulau Gag lebih dekat ke kawasan Provinsi Maluku Utara ketimbang ke Raja Ampat di Provinsi Papua Barat Daya. (*)
