Senjata-senjata tersebut, diketahui sangat dibutuhkan Israel dalam serangan militernya di Jalur Gaza.
Hal itu ia sampaikan pada Kamis (20/6/2024).
“Saya siap untuk menoleransi serangan pribadi dengan syarat Israel menerima senjata yang dibutuhkannya dari Amerika Serikat dalam perang (yang dilancarkannya) demi keberadaannya," kata Netanyahu.
Pernyataan rela di-bully itu, menanggapi Gedung Putih yang menilai Netanyahu menghina AS, menuding sengaja terlambat mengirimkan senjata.
Adapun, pada awal Mei lalu, Menteri Pertahanan AS, Lloyd Austin mengkonfirmasi penghentian pasokan bom seberat 2.000 pon dan 500 pon ke Israel.
Kemudian, Presiden AS, Joe Biden juga mengatakan akan berhenti memasok bom serta peluru artileri ke Israel jika operasi militer di Jalur Gaza meluas ke kota Rafah.
