Hal ini disampaikan Presiden dalam KTT solusi dua negara untuk perdamaian Palestina di markas PBB, New York, Senin (22/9/2025) waktu setempat.
Menurut Presiden Prabowo, solusi dua negara merupakan komitmen Indonesia dalam penyelesaian kekerasan di Palestina.
Melalui hal tersebut Israel dan Palestina akan sama-sama diakui sebagai negara yang berdaulat.
Menurutnya, pengakuan tersebut harus menjadi perdamaian sejati bagi semua pihak.
Prabowo juga mengapresiasi sejumlah negara yang telah secara resmi mengakui kedaulatan negara Palestina. Menurutnya, hal itu adalah langkah di sisi sejarah yang benar.
Prabowo juga mengajak negara lain yang belum mengakui Palestina untuk memberikan komitmennya saat ini.
Dalam kesempatan itu, Prabowo juga menyebut apa yang terjadi di Gaza saat ini merupakan tragedi yang tak tertahankan.
"Kita harus menjamin keberadaan negara bagi Palestina. Namun Indonesia juga menyatakan bahwa setelah Israel mengakui kemerdekaan dan kenegaraan Palestina, Indonesia akan segera mengakui negara Israel dan kami akan mendukung semua jaminan bagi keamanan Israel," ujarnya.
