Parvati Vallabha Ashtakam (पार्वती वल्लभ अष्टकम्) is a powerful Sanskrit Shiva Stotram glorifying Mahadev as Parvati Vallabha — the beloved Lord of Maa Parvati — and Neelkantha, the blue-throated Lord.

Its recurring declaration is:

भजे पार्वतीवल्लभं नीलकण्ठम्
“I worship Neelkantha, the beloved Lord of Parvati.”

The hymn presents the extraordinary contrasts within Shiva's divine nature. He is Bhutanatha, Lord of beings; Devadeva, God of the gods; Kalakala, the destroyer of Death; the Lord who reduced Kama to ashes; and yet He is also Shantashila — peaceful in nature.

Mahadev dwells in Kailasa yet also inhabits the cremation ground. He wears serpents, tiger skin and sacred ash, carries the Trishul, bears the pure Ganga upon His head and the crescent Moon upon His forehead, while Maa Parvati resides at His left side.

The Stotram repeatedly remembers Shiva as the protector of devotees, destroyer of great suffering, primordial Lord, refuge of sages and the compassionate Lord who is especially tender toward the distressed.
