Sebagaimana diketahui, nama Jokowi sebelumnya sempat mencuat jadi kandidat calon Ketua Umum PSI menggantikan sang anak, Kaesang Pangarep.
Ditemui di kediamannya di Solo, Jawa Tengah, Kamis (26/6), Jokowi mengatakan dirinya menyerahkan pada anak-anak muda untuk bertarung memperebutkan kursi Ketum PSI.
Menurut Jokowi, sosok-sosok muda yang kini telah mendaftar termasuk Kaesang memiliki reputasi yang baik.
Ia pun telah memberikan restunya pada semua kandidat.
Ditanya lebih lanjut mengenai peluangnya bergabung partai lain, Jokowi hanya tertawa.
Adapun PSI dijadwalkan menggelar Pemilihan Raya (Pemira) Partai pada 12-19 Juli 2025.
Saat ini sudah ada tiga nama yang akan bersaing memperebutkan kursi ketum.
Mereka adalah Kaesang Pangarep yang saat ini masih menjabat sebagai Ketum PSI, Ronald Ariston Sinaga atau Bro Ron yang merupakan kader dan aktivis media sosial, dan Agus Mulyono Herlambang yang merupakan mantan Ketua Umum PB PMII.
Ketiga calon tersebut telah memenuhi ketentuan pencalonan ketua umum yakni didukung minimal lima Dewan Pimpinan Wilayah (DPW), dan 20 Dewan Pimpinan Daerah (DPD) PSI.
Mereka juga telah mendapatkan nomor urut, nomor satu didapatkan oleh Ronald Sinaga atau Bro Ron, nomor dua oleh Kaesang, dan nomor tiga oleh Agus Mulyono.
Tahapan Pemilu Raya PSI dimulai dengan masa kampanye dari tanggal 19 Juni-11 Juli, lalu masa pemungutan suara secara daring mulai tanggal 12-19 Juli.
Nantinya pada tanggal 19 Juli, PSI akan menggelar kongres di Kota Solo, Jawa Tengah.
