Atomkraftwerk-Abschaltung: Ungarn erlebt „beispiellose Energiekrise“
Fast die Hälfte des benötigten Stroms fällt in Ungarn plötzlich weg. Wegen der anhaltenden Hitze muss Ungarn das Atomkraftwerk Paks abschalten. Premier Magyar spricht von einer "beispiellosen Krise". Grund ist der niedrige Pegelstand der Donau. Nach Angaben des Betreibers ist die Abschaltung des Atomkraftwerks unvermeidlich, da das Kraftwerk in Paks auf die Kühlung mit Flusswasser angewiesen ist. Die Anlage mit vier Reaktoren deckt 40 Prozent des ungarischen Strombedarfs.
