Nach einem US-Angriff auf einen iranischen Frachter im Golf von Oman sollen iranische Streitkräfte US-Kriegsschiffe mit Drohnen attackiert haben. Das behauptet zumindest ein Sprecher des iranischen Generalstabs. Unterdessen veröffentlichte das US-Militär Videos zu dem Vorfall. Darauf ist zunächst der Beschuss des iranischen Frachters durch amerikanische Einheiten zu sehen. Anschließend zeigen die Aufnahmen, wie Soldaten das Schiff entern. Das Frachtschiff mit dem Namen „Tuska“ wollte trotz der US-Seeblockade die iranische Küstenstadt Bandar Abbas in der Straße von Hormus ansteuern. Der Iran wirft den USA eine Verletzung der Waffenruhe vor und droht – wörtlich – mit Vergeltung wegen Piraterie.
