Ternyata otak di balik pembuangan potongan kaki tersebut adalah ibu dari pasien RSUD Chasan Boesoirie, bernama Wince (40), yang tengah dirawat.
Dalam keterangannya, ibu pasien mengaku meminta tukang ojek untuk menguburkan kaki anaknya secara layak dengan imbalan uang Rp20 ribu.
Namun Wince berdalih bahwa potongan kaki yang dibungkus rapi dalam keresek kuning itu merupakan kotoran.
Sayangnya lantaran tukang ojek tersebut tidak bertanggung jawab, ia justru membuang kaki pasien di tempat sampah.
Menurut pengakuan Wince, anaknya baru saja menjalani amputasi akibat tumor ganas di kaki kirinya.
Namun belum diketahui apa motif Wince melakukan aksi tersebut.
Sementara itu Direktur RSUD Chasan Boesoirie, dr. Alwia Assagaf menegaskan bahwa limbah medis umumnya dimusnahkan dengan kerja sama melalui pihak ketiga.
Namun khusus untuk amputasi, potongan tubuh seringkali diserahkan kembali kepada pihak keluarga.
Ia kemudian menjelaskan bahwa potongan tubuh yang ditemukan di tempat sampah berada di luar kendali pihak rumah sakit.
