Namun, ia tak memenuhi syarat karena berat badannya kurang.
Hal itu disampaikan Dedi lewat unggahan video di akun Instagram pribadinya @dedimulyadi71 pada Jumat (21/2/2025).
"Dulu berat badan saya 40 kilogram waktu tahun 90, saya tidak lulus," ujar Dedi.
Ia bahkan juga sempat mengikuti seleksi masuk Sekolah Calon Bintara (Secaba) untuk menggapai impiannya menjadi tentara.
Namun, lagi-lagi Dedi belum beruntung.
Tak disangka, ia kini justru bisa berdiri di Akmil sebagai seorang gubernur.
Dedi bersama ratusan kepala daerah lain mengikuti orientasi atau retreat hingga 28 Februari 2025.
