Danantara tersebut diresmikan Prabowo di Istana Kepresidenan, Jakarta, Senin (24/2/2025) pagi.
Terdapat empat kontroversi pembentukan Danantara yang disorot publik.
Pertama, Danantara didirikan menggunakan dana dari hasil efisien anggaran negara.
Publik dibuat terkejut lantaran dana hasil efisiensi anggaran tak hanya dipakai untuk mendanai Program Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG), tapi untuk mendanai Danantara.
Publik khawatir, buruknya proses pengambilan kebijakan publik Pemerintah, berpengaruh jelek pada penentuan kebijakan pengelolaan Danantara.
Kedua, kontroversi muncul imbas para mantan presiden akan dilibatkan dalam pengawasan Danantara.
Diketahui, mantan presiden tidak mempunyai keahlian dalam bidang keuangan.
Jika ide ini diterapkan, publik khawatir Danantara akan menjadi ladang korupsi baru untuk pendanaan aktivitas partai politik terutama saat Pilpres dan Pileg.
Ketiga, para tokoh agama dilibatkan dalam pengawasan Danantara.
Sejumlah publik mengecam hal itu, lantaran tokoh agama tak memiliki keahlian dalam bidang investasi dan keuangan.
Keempat, ketua tim pakar dan inisiator Danantara adalah Burhanuddin Abdullah.
Ia memiliki rekam jejak buruk dan pernah terjerat kasus korupsi aliran dana Bank Indonesia.
Atas hal itu, publik khawatir pengelolaan Danantara ke depan tak akan profesional dan rentan terjadi korupsi.
