Peristiwa ini terjadi di Jalan SM Raja, tepatnya di depan RS Mitra Medika pada Kamis (17/7/2025).
Dalam video yang beredar, tampak dua motor PJR polisi Polda Sumut tergeletak di jalan.
Kemudian ada polisi yang terlihat duduk di jalan.
Kondisi tampak ramai, warga terlihat mengerumuni seorang nenek yang tergeletak bersimbah darah.
Warga sekitar bernama Budiman mengatakan saat kejadian kedua polisi yang menaiki motor PJR itu tidak membunyikan sirene.
Mereka juga tampak mendahului kendaraan di depannya dengan tidak hati-hati.
Sehingga saat korban bernama Rodiah (70) melintas, keduanya tak bisa menghindari kecelakaan.
Pasca-kejadian itu, Rodiah langsung dibawa ke RS Mitra Medika untuk mendapatkan perawatan.
Sementara itu Kabid Humas Polda Sumut Kombes Pol Ferry Walintukan mengatakan pihaknya masih mendalami motif kelalaian dari anggotanya dalam berkendara.
Ferry mengatakan, saat Rodiah hendak menyeberang, ada truk yang melintas.
Di belakang truk itu ada Bripda AD dan RS yang tengah mengendari motor patroli.
Kondisi inilah yang membuat dua polisi itu tidak melihat keberadaan Rodiah sehingga kecelakaan pun terjadi.
