«Quando siamo arrivati sul posto abbiamo visto che tutta la parte centrale del tribunale di Bolzano, praticamente tutta la parte delle aule, era crollata dall'ultimo piano fino al piano terreno. Non abbiamo rilevato sospetti per un'esplosione. Sul posto c'era l'impresa di pulizia, diversi operatori erano già usciti, qualcuno mancava l'appello. Alla fine tramite telefono siamo riusciti a trovare questa persona che stava ancora all'interno e l'abbiamo indirizzata a uscire fuori da una parte sicura dell'edificio», così Christian Auer, ispettore antincendio capo del Corpo Permanente dei Vigili del Fuoco di Bolzano, tra i primi ad arrivare sul posto dopo l'enorme cedimento che ha interessato all'alba il Tribunale di Bolzano. «Appena arrivato sul posto ho pensato subito che potessero esserci delle persone dentro. E che era difficile perché era ancora tutto pericolante. Però poi per fortuna l'operatore dell'impresa di pulizia mi ha detto che erano quasi tutti fuori e che stavano rintracciando l'ultima persona rimasta.Inizialmente ho pensato potesse trattarsi di una bomba, di un attentato, poi, dopo le prime verifiche, abbiamo capito che si trattava di un crollo».
