Trump touts Republican midterm convention, says Iran war will be over 'immediately' after election
As he boarded Air Force One to travel to Dallas, President Donald Trump said he expects a “tremendous crowd” at the Republican's midterm convention ‒ and a sellout ‒ even as some GOP candidates in close midterm races are skipping the event.“It’s sold out. Looks very big, looks very exciting, and we’re going to explain what we’ve done,” Trump said. “We’ve done things that have never been done in the first term or the second term.”
President Donald Trump also shared a new prediction for when the Iran war will end and Americans can expect gas prices to come down: immediately after the midterm elections while taking questions from the press, too.
"I think the war is going to end immediately after the election," Trump said on Sept. 9, as he prepared to depart Joint Base Andrews for the GOP's midterm convention in Dallas.
