Hasto tegas, PDIP akan mendorong kader internal karena Jawa Tengah merupakan basis suara PDIP.Dalam survei LSI bertajuk Pilkada di daerah kunci siapa unggul di Jawa Tengah? Nama Kaesang unggul dalam simulasi 21 nama dan 6 kandidat dengan 15,9 persen suara. Terkait hal ini, Hasto bilang PDIP sudah menyiapkan kader internal untuk diusung di Jawa Tengah.
