Tersangka mengaku sangat menyesal telah membunuh ibu kandungnya sendiri.
Sementara itu Kapolrestabes Semarang, Kombes Pol M Syahduddi mengungkap motif pembunuhan.
Imam tega membunuh ibu kandung menggunakan golok lantaran sakit hati karena tak diberi uang dan kerap dibanding-bandingkan dengan keempat adiknya.
Polisi memastikan kondisi kejiwaan Imam Ghozali dalam kondisi sehat.
Kasatreskrim Polrestabes Semarang AKBP Andika Dharma Sena mengatakan, tersangka tidak memiliki riwayat gangguan kejiwaan.
Tersangka sadar sepenuhnya dalam melakukan pembunuhan.
Meski demikian, pelaku kini mengaku sangat menyesal telah membunuh ibunya.
Di sisi lain, Moeh Ghozali ayah pelaku sendiri meminta aparat kepolisian untuk menghukum anaknya setimpal dengan perbuatannya.
Dirinya pun ikhlas ketika anak dihukum mati.
