Jika biasanya personel mengenakan helm atau baret, kali ini mereka kompak mengenakan peci.
Kabid Humas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Ary mengatakan, personel mengenakan peci bukan tanpa alasan.
Pasalnya, demo yang berlangsung pada Jumat (5/9/2025) bertepatan dengan peringatan Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW.
Menurutnya, momentum ini menjadi pengingat untuk polisi agar terus bersemangat menjaga keamanan dan ketertiban masyarakat (kamtibmas).
"Oh iya karena tadi baru saja kami melaksanakan peringatan Maulid Nabi," ujar Kombes Ade, dikutip dari Tribunnews.com, Sabtu (6/9/2025).
Sementara itu, mahasiswa dari Universitas Padjajaran (Unpad) Bandung menyuarakan tuntutan 17+8 selama demo.
Mereka mengingatkan DPR bahwa tenggat waktu hampir habis untuk memenuhi tuntutan tersebut.
Malam harinya, pimpinan DPR langsung menggelar konferensi pers untuk menjawab tuntutan 17+8.
Sejumlah poin disepakati termasuk menghentikan tunjangan perumahan hingga menindaklanjuti penonaktifan anggota ke Mahkamah Kehormatan DPR.
