Kepala Balai TNGR Yarman mengatakan pihaknya sudah menghubungi helikopter untuk mengevakuasi pendaki tersebut, namun dia belum memastikan apakah bisa dilakukan evakuasi melalui jalur udara.
"Ini kita lagi upaya menghubungi heli (Helikopter), tapi kita lihat cuaca juga kesiapan dari heli ini sendiri," kata Yarman.
Yarman belum mendapat informasi lengkap terkait peristiwa ini, namun dari informasi awal dikabarkan pendaki tersebut mengalami patah tulang.
"Timnya masih naik ke atas untuk proses evakuasi, kita lihat kondisinya apakah patah, patahnya di mana," jelasnya.
