Kabar ini kemudian direspons oleh Wakil Ketua Umum Partai NasDem Saan Mustopa.
Ditemui di Kompleks Parlemen pada Rabu (3/9/2025), Saan mengaku akan mengeceknya terlebih dahulu.
Sebab, ia sendiri belum mendengar kabar bahwa Sahroni mundur dari anggota DPR.
"Itu belum (mundur), nanti kita cek, ya," kata Saan, dikutip dari Kompas.com, Rabu (3/9/2025).
Saan melanjutkan, kemungkinan untuk mencopot Sahroni dari DPR lewat proses pergantian antarwaktu juga harus mengikuti prosedur yang ada.
Ia menegaskan bahwa Sahroni sampai saat ini masih menyandang status sebagai anggota DPR nonaktif sekaligus bendahara umum Partai NasDem.
Sebelumnya, Sahroni melontarkan kalimat yang kian memperkeruh suasana ketika menanggapi seruan "Bubarkan DPR" di media sosial.
Seruan itu muncul karena anggota dewan dinilai tidak memiliki sense of crisis yang mana menikmati tunjangan bernilai besar, sementara kondisi rakyat sedang sulit.
Partai NasDem akhirnya memutuskan untuk menonaktifkan Sahroni sebagai anggota DPR dan meminta agar gaji dan tunjangan tidak diberikan selama menyandang status tersebut.
