Insiden ini terjadi di TPA Leuwigajah, Kota Cimahi, Jawa Barat pada (21/2/2005) silam.
Tempat pembuangan sampah akhir ini meledak dan longsor pada pukul 02.00 WIB.
Longsoran sampah itu terjun bebas dan menghantam dua desa di Cimahi yakni Cilimus dan Pojok.
Dari insiden itu menewaskan ratusan warga.
Selama 15 hari masa evakuasi, hanya ditemukan 157 jasad warga dan menyisakan ratusan lainya dalam status hilang.
Setahun setelahnya, TPA Leuwigajah ditutup dan tidak beroperasi sebagai tempat pembuangan sampah.
Tujuannya agar tidak menimbulkan trauma bagi warga sekitar yang selamat.
