R-TYPE Dimensions III - 2-ALL 1CC (Normal & Advanced Difficulty) Type 3
ININ, along with developer KRITZELKRATZ 3000, has just released a new "port" of R-Type III: The Third Lightning, which IREM originally created for the SNES over 30 years ago. Dimensions is supposed to be a graphical update of the original game, but it's so inaccurate that it's better to think of it as a total remake that just gives you an approximation of R-Type III.The Cyclone Force looked strong, so I thought it'd be fun to do one more clear with it. It definitely is good, but to get the most out of it, you have to throw your force out more often and use its AOE to kill enemies quickly. Honestly, I didn't want to spend time experimenting with all the best ways to use it, so I just played in a pretty standard way with most of the same strategies I used with my Type 2 clear. It's a pretty bad run, but I'm not going to do another. 🤷♂️
Type 3 is a bit easier to use in the first 5 stages, but Type 2 has the advantage in the last one, which is probably the hardest of them all. So I guess they're fairly well balanced. I only tried Type 1 once, but it seemed like it was the clear weakest choice, so I don't think I'm going to do a clear with it. I'm getting a little tired of all the bugs in this game and I don't really want to play it any more. To be honest though, if this video does well, I'll probably go on with a Type 1 clear too lol.
Just to reiterate from my previous video, this game is full of bugs and annoying issues, but I still had fun learning it. I just wouldn't recommend buying it until they fix the really awful glitches, though, like all of the invisible hitboxes you can crash into and disjointed enemy spawns in the last stage. The game's in bad shape right now.
