Dia bermain di Euro 2021 saat usianya masih 17 tahun 246 hari. Rekor itu di ambang dipecahkan Lamine Yamal yang memang memperkuat skuad Spanyol pada Euro 2024.
Yamal dapat memecahkan rekor tersebut saat Spanyol menghadapi laga perdana di Euro 2024 menghadapi Kroasia.
Lamine Yamal masih berusia 16 tahun saat itu, menjadikannya pemain termuda yang pernah berpartisipasi dalam event major sepak bola empat tahunan.
2. Pencetak Gol Termuda
Pada Oktober 2023, Yamal menjadi pemain termuda yang mencetak gol untuk Barcelona pada usia 16 tahun dua bulan.
Ia berpotensi mencetak rekor serupa di Euro dengan menjadi pemain termuda yang mencetak gol di turnamen tersebut.
Rekor pencetak gol termuda di Euro masih dipegang oleh Johann Vonlanthen (Swiss).
Johann Vonlanthen menjadi pencetak gol termuda pada Euro 2004, saat masih berusia 18 tahun 140 hari. Jika Yamal mencetak gol, ia akan melampaui rekor tersebut dengan selisih yang signifikan.
