La fiamma olimpica giunge in una nazione che vive e respira sport, la Bella Italia, dove la passione risplende in tutto ciò che fate. Da atleta, ho potuto sperimentarlo in prima persona quando ho gareggiato ai Mondiali del 2009 qui a Roma. Ancora oggi, è uno dei Campionati del Mondo più memorabili della mia carriera. Mentre la staffetta della torcia inizia il suo viaggio attraverso il meraviglioso Paese che è l’Italia, unirà milioni di italiani, dalle Alpi alla Sicilia, dalle grandi città ai borghi più piccoli.
