Renan Santos argumenta que o combate ao crime organizado exige mais do que penas maiores e mudanças nas leis. Na avaliação dele, é fundamental haver articulação entre o governo federal, os governadores, a Polícia Federal e outras instituições responsáveis pela segurança pública.
A conversa também aborda a possibilidade de Lincoln Gakiya, promotor conhecido por sua atuação contra o PCC, assumir o futuro Ministério da Segurança Pública. Renan avalia positivamente seu nome, mas questiona se o governo terá vontade política para colocar em prática uma estratégia nacional.
