Juru Bicara Houthi, Yahya Saree menyebut, tujuan serangan itu untuk mencegah pesawat angkut militer Amerika Serikat mendarat.
Dilaporkan, serangan Houthi itu merupakan gempuran kesekian kali.
Houthi memang sengaja menargetkan bandara Ben Gurion yang menjadi fasilitas penting bagi Israel.
Tindakan itu dilakukan untuk mendukung rakyat Palestina yang terkepung di Jalur Gaza.
Dilaporkan, Houthi Yaman kerap meluncurkan ratusan rudal dan drone ke Israel sejak 2023, awal mula konflik Gaza-Israel pecah.
Kemarahan Houthi memuncak, lantaran tindakan yang dilakukan IDF dengan menargetkan Yaman tak kunjung usai.
Houthi Yaman menegaskan, akan menghentikan serangan terhadap Israel jika konflik di Jalur Gaza dan blokade bantuan kemanusiaan dihentikan.
Lantas, Israel pun tak tinggal diam menghadapi serangan Houthi.
Pasukan Pertahanan Israel juga melakukan sejumlah serangan udara hingga menghantam banyak sasaran di wilayah Yaman.
