Firefighters across Europe struggled against multiple fires Friday as a new wave of record-breaking heat baked a swath of Europe.Also, record breaking torrential rains has fallen in Japan’s Chiba Prefecture where parts of it received three-times the average August rainfall in just one day and drenching storms are rolling over the US Midwest for a sixth day early Friday, setting off more flooding in a region where hundreds of people have been forced from their homes in recent days.
