Diduga Gagal Jantung, Pebulu Tangkis Asal Tiongkok Meninggal Dunia Dalam Junior Asia 2024

KOMPAS.TV - Pebulu tangkis Tiongkok Zhang Zhi Jie meninggal dunia setelah sempat kolaps saat berlaga menghadapi pebulutangkis Jepang di Kejuaraan Bulutangkis Junior Asia 2024 di Yogyakarta.

Zhang Zie Jie bermain di partai kedua nomor tunggal putra di babak penyisihan grup, melawan Kazuma Kawano di Gor Among Rogo, Yogyakarta, kemarin (1/7).

Zhang pingsan usai set pertama.dan sempat mendapat penanganan medis. Namun, Zhang akhirnya meninggal dunia di rumah sakit, Minggu (1/7) malam.

Panitia pelaksana pertandingan terkesan tertutup, dan bahkan sempat bersitegang dengan awak media, saat media mewawancarai tim medis. Zang Zie Jie, diduga meninggal dunia akibat gagal jantung, namun tim medis RSUP Dokter Sardjito belum bisa memastikan hal itu.

Federasi Badminton Asia, menyampaikan duka atas meninggalnya Zhang Zie Jie melalui akun instagram mereka.
