Sejumlah senjata mulai dari artileri, drone hingga rudal mulai dikerahkan oleh kedua militer.
Militer Kamboja sendiri disebut menggunakan peluncur RM-70 GRAD buatan Ceko dalam serangan terkoordinasi pada malam hari ke arah posisi militer Thailand.
Laporan intelijen regional menyebut, peluncur RM-70 GRAD itu dibekali roket artileri jenis 9M22U atau SHE-40.
Senjata ini merupakan amunisi tanpa pemandu dengan jangkauan hingga 20 kilometer.
Masing-masing roket membawa hulu ledak seberat 18,4 kilogram.
Serangannya mampu menyebabkan kerusakan luas pada infanteri, logistik militer, serta kendaraan lapis baja ringan.
Bahkan, beberapa roket Kamboja dilaporkan mendarat dekat pemukiman warga sipil.
Para analis meyakini penggunaan sistem artileri berat itu menandai kesiapan Kamboja merebut kembali wilayahnya.
Akibat meningkatnya serangan, 582 sekolah di Thailand ditutup.
Beberapa sekolah bahkan diubah menjadi tempat penampungan darurat bagi penduduk yang mengungsi.
