Erick Thohir tetap memberikan dukungan dan motivasi kepada squad Shin Tae-Yong tersebut.
Luapan emosional Erick Thohir itu diutarakan saat menyambangi ruang ganti pemain seusai laga tersebut.
Erick Thohir, meminta para pemain agar tidak menyerah dan memperlihatkan Indonesia adalah bangsa yang kuat.
"Kita mau nyerah atau fight back? Mau nyerah atau fight back?," tanya Erick Thohir.
"Kasih lihat kita bangsa yang kuat, enggak bisa diinjek-injek," tegas Erick.
"Ayo come on, ayo. Masih ada (peluang lolos Olimpiade)."
Hal itu ia lakukan, agar Timnas Indonesia bisa lolos ke Olimpiade Paris 2024.
