Penyidik Ditreskrimum Polda Banten menetapkan dua tersangka yakni Wakil Ketua Kadin Cilegon Isbatullah dan Ketua LSM Banten Monitoring Perindustrian dan Perdagangan (BMPP) Zul Basit.
Mereka diduga aktif dalam pemalakan bersama tiga tersangka lain dalam proyek yang dikerjakan oleh PT China Chengda Engineering.
Dirreskrimum Polda Banten Kombes Pol Dian Setyawan dalam keterangan pada Rabu (11/6) mengatakan Isbatullah ditangkap di wilayah Pandeglang.
Sedangkan Zul Basit ditangkap seusai menghadiri undangan sebagai saksi di Mapolda Banten.
Sosok Isbatullah dan Zul Basit turut dihadirkan dalam rilis yang dilakukan Mapolda Banten pada Rabu kemarin.
Keduanya mengenakan baju tahanan warna oranye dan tangan yang diikat kabel tis.
Mereka tak menyampaikan pernyataan apapun ketika digiring menuju sel oleh petugas.
Dian menyebut, modus operandi yang digunakan tersangka adalah meminta proyek pembangunan pada PT Chengda melalui PT Total Bangun Perkasa.
Motif para tersangka yakni menguntungkan diri sendiri dan organisasi mereka.
Atas perbuatannya, kedua tersangka dijerat pasal pengancaman dengan ancaman hukuman sembilan tahun.
