Berdasarkan metode hisab dan rukyat, BRIN memprediksi bahwa 1 Ramadhan 1446 H jatuh pada 2 Maret 2025.

Sementara Muhammadiyah telah menetapkan bahwa 1 Ramadhan 1446 H dimulai lebih awal, yakni pada 1 Maret 2025.
Mengutip YouTube BRIN Indonesia pada Selasa (25/2/2025), Profesor Riset Astronomi dan Astrofisika dari Pusat Riset Antariksa BRIN, Thomas Djamaluddin, menyebut bahwa hilal yang memenuhi kriteria MABIMS kemungkinan hanya terlihat di Aceh.
Ia menjelaskan, pada 28 Februari 2025, tinggi bulan di Aceh mencapai 4,5 derajat dengan elongasi 6,4 derajat, sehingga memenuhi kriteria imkanur rukyat.
Sebaliknya, di Surabaya, posisi bulan saat magrib diperkirakan memiliki tinggi toposentrik 3,7 derajat dengan elongasi geosentrik 5,8 derajat, sehingga tidak memenuhi syarat.
Oleh karena itu, BRIN memprediksi bahwa awal Ramadhan versi pemerintah jatuh pada 2 Maret 2025.
Sementara BMKG mencatat ketinggian hulal di Indonesia pada 28 Februari berkisar antara 3.02 derajat di Merauke hingga 4,69 derajat di Saban, Aceh.
Elongasi di Indonesia saat Matahari terbenam pada 28 Februari 2025, berkisar antara 4,78 derajat di Waris, Papua sampai dengan 6,40 derajat di Banda Aceh, Aceh.
Meski demikian Thomas meminta semua pihak menunggu kepastian keputusan hasil Sidang Isbat yang akan digelar pemerintah.(*)
