Schon als Baby erlebt Maria kaum Nähe. Als Kind kämpft sie um Liebe, Wärme und Anerkennung. Doch ihre Mutter trinkt, ihr Vater bleibt emotional unerreichbar. Mit 9 Jahren wird Maria von einem Familienmitglied missbraucht. Später bittet sie selbst das Jugendamt, in einem Heim leben zu dürfen.
In diesem Video erzählt Maria ihre Geschichte: Wie überlebt man eine Kindheit ohne Liebe? Wie findet man zurück ins Leben, wenn man als Kind gelernt hat, dass niemand kommt, um einen zu retten? Und wie kann aus Schmerz irgendwann Stärke werden?
Heute ist Maria verheiratet, arbeitet als Genesungsbegleiterin und hilft Menschen mit psychischen Erkrankungen. Sie sagt: „Ich bin heute die Person, die ich gebraucht hätte.“
Eine Geschichte über Trauma, Missbrauch, Alkohol in der Familie, Therapie, Selbstrettung und den langen Kampf zurück ins Leben.
