Polisi belum memastikan apakah kasus kematian Daru disebabkan pembunuhan atau bunuh diri.
Sejumlah alat bukti termasuk rekaman CCTV yang menyorot kamar Daru saat ini masih didalami polisi.
Selain bukti digital, polisi juga mengusut lingkaran pertemanan Daru untuk mengungkap misteri kematiannya.
Kabid Humas Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi dalam keterangan pada Sabtu (12/7) mengatakan, polisi akan menggali mengenai kehidupan sehari-hari Daru.
Termasuk ketika mendekati hari kejadian atau momen saat Daru ditemukan tak bernyawa di kamar kosnya, Rabu (8/7).
Untuk memperkuat proses penyelidikan, polisi juga akan melibatkan psikologi forensik guna menyelami lebih jauh karakter dan profil pribadi Daru.
Adapun dalam kasus ini, bukti rekaman CCTV jadi petunjuk penting.
Ada empat rekaman yang kemudian dirilis ke publik yang menampilkan aktivitas Daru beberapa jam sebelum ditemukan meninggal dengan kepala terlakban hingga gerak-gerik penjaga kos.
Sosok Daru terlihat terakhir kali saat dirinya keluar membawa bungkusan kantong plastik untuk dibuang sekira pukul 23.30 WIB.
Kemudian pada pukul 00.27 WIB, penjaga kos tampak mondar-mandir di depan kamar kos Daru sembari menelepon.
Penjaga kos kembali menuju kamar Daru sekira pukul 05.30 WIB untuk melakukan pengecekan.
Keberadaan penjaga kos tersebut rupanya atas permintaan istri Daru yang khawatir sang suami tak menjawab teleponnya.
