The Space Between Thought and Action | Dr. Bhuvan Chugh | TEDxAIIMSBhubaneswar
If you’re thinking about it, don’t act—yet. That single pause can change everything.
In moments of overthinking, urgency, or inner restlessness, most of us assume our thoughts need immediate action. This talk explores why that instinct often leads us astray, and how learning to pause can turn mental noise into clarity.
Rather than treating anxiety as something to eliminate, this talk reframes it as a powerful source of energy. When recognised early, tamed gently, and redirected deliberately, that same restless drive can become focus, discipline, and better decision-making.
Through real-life experiences and a simple framework - Recognise. Tame. Redirect. (RTR), this talk offers a practical way to create space between thought and action. Over time, that space becomes a skill. And with practice, it becomes a form of mental discipline.
Anxiety isn’t the enemy. Reaction is.
This talk is for anyone who has felt stuck in their head, rushed into decisions, or wished they could respond with more calm, especially in moments that matter most.
