Agung menilai, situasi Pilpres 2029 mendatang akan jauh berbeda dengan Pilpres 2024 kemarin,
Tak menutup kemungkinan, di 2029 nanti baik Presiden Prabowo maupun Wapres Gibran memiliki kebutuhan politik yang berbeda.
Ia lantas menilai bahwa Prabowo memang membutuhkan Gibran di Pilpres 2024.
Hal ini untuk mendapatkan suara dari pendukung Jokowi.
Namun, tahun 2029 mendatang, kemampuan Jokowi untuk bisa membantu memenangkan Pilpres dinilai akan berkurang.
Pasalnya, yang menjadi petahana adalah Prabowo bukan Jokowi lagi.
"Nah, di 2029 situasinya berubah. Nah, kemampuan Pak Jokowi untuk memastikan kemenangan itu berkurang karena itu sudah dimiliki ya kekuatannya oleh Presiden Prabowo seperti itu," kata Agung dalam tayangan Program 'On Focus' di kanal YouTube Tribunnews.com, dilansir pada Senin (29/9/2025).
Kebutuhan Prabowo di Pilpres 2029 mendatang adalah memastikan program-program yang dicanangkan di periode sebelumnya bisa konkret dirasakan masyarakat.
Sementara, untuk kriteria Wapres untuk mendampingi Prabowo di periode kedua, Agung menilai Ketum Gerindra itu harus bisa mencari pendamping yang bisa bekerja optimal.
Beban politik, ekonomi, sosial, budaya yang dimiliki pendamping Prabowo di Pilpres 2029 nanti juga harus seminimal mungkin.
