Why Russia could be more dangerous after the end of the war in Ukraine | DW News

What happens when the Ukraine war ends? A new analysis from the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace warns the answer may not be stability, but a more dangerous Russia and a more fragile European security order.

Even if weakened militarily, Russia could emerge from the war more aggressive, more experienced, and more determined to challenge NATO and the West.

We speak to Eugene Rumer, the author of the analysis, about what Europe should expect, and whether policymakers are underestimating the risks of a post-war phase.
