Aksi sadis pelaku berinisial HL tersebut dilakukannya di rumah korban di Dusun Langiyur, Desa/Kecamatan Geger, pada Rabu (13/8) sekira pukul 22.00 WIB.
Seusai ditangkap polisi, HL mengaku dirinya mendengar bisikan setan saat menghabisi keponakannya secara sadis.
HL pun menyatakan ingin meminta maaf pada keluarga korban atas perbuatannya tersebut.
Kasat Reskrim Polres Bangkalan AKP Hafid Dian Maulidi dalam keterangannya pada Kamis (14/8) mengatakan, peristiwa bermula ketika pelaku emosi mencari keberadaan sang istri.
HL kemudian mendatangi rumah korban sembari membawa parang yang berjarak 500 meter dari kediamannya.
Sesampainya di rumah korban, HL mendobrak pintu hingga memecah kaca rumah hingga mengalami luka di tangan.
Pelaku kemudian menemukan ibu korban, SM dan bibinya, PT serta keponakannya, HY.
Lantaran ketakutan, SM dan PT lari menyelamatkan diri namun korban ketinggalan.
Pelaku lantas membawa korban keluar rumah dan membantingnya.
Ibu korban sempat berusaha menyelamatkan sang anak, namun terkena tebasan parang pelaku.
Nahas, pelaku kemudian membacok korban pada bagian leher dan beberapa tubuhnya.
Pelaku sempat kabur dan bersembunyi di semak-semak sebelum ditangkap oleh warga dan aparat keamanan.
