Dalam update terbaru dikutip Rabu (3/7/2024), pemerintah Israel berencana menarik pasukan tambahan.
Menteri Pertahanan, Yoav Gallant pada Senin waktu setempat memaparkan tentara Israel membutuhkan 10 ribu personel lagi untuk melanjutkan perang di Gaza.
Saat ini pihaknya akan merekrut 4.800 tentara dari laki-laki ultra-Ortodoks (Haredi).
Padahal biasanya, mereka dihindarkan dari wajib militer.
Bukti selanjutnya, setidaknya sejak Oktober 2023, kala perang pecah, ada 550.000 warga yang pergi dari Israel hingga April 2024.
Awalnya migrasi ini disebut 'pelarian sementara' selama perang, namun kini malah migrasi tetap.
Kepergian warga ini bisa terjadi dengan mudah di Israel karena kebanyakan masyarakat memiliki kewarganegaraan ganda.
