Hamas hanya ingin Moskow menjadi penjamin gencatan senjata di Jalur Gaza.
Hal itu disampaikan Marzouk kepada media Rusia, Sputnik pada Selasa (25/6/2024).
"Tidak, kami tidak meminta bantuan militer," kata Marzouk.
Menurutnya, Hamas telah memproduksi senjata sendiri untuk pertempuran jarak dekat melawan Israel.
Marzouk yakin pihaknya masih mampu menangani pertempuran semacam ini tanpa campur tangan pihak luar.
"Kami (Hamas) dapat menangani sendiri pertempuran semacam ini," imbuh dia.
Di sisi lain, upaya untuk menyepakati gencatan senjata di Jalur Gaza belum membuahkan hasil.
Padahal Qatar dan negara-negara mediator sudah berupaya semaksimal mungkin membujuk Israel.
Oleh karena itu, Marzouk berharap Rusia bisa menjadi penjamin gencatan senjata.
Ia menilai, pisisi Moskow dalam perang Gaza lebih adil dan dapat diterima oleh semua pihak.
Sementara Amerika Serikat (AS) sudah jelas berada di pihak Israel.
Saat ini, Marzouk telah tiba di Moskow untuk menghadiri pertemuan di Kementerian Luar Negeri Rusia.
