Moody’s has projected India’s GDP growth at 7% for 2025 and 6.5% for 2026, reaffirming the country’s position as the fastest-growing economy among G20 nations. According to Moody’s Ratings’ Global Macro Outlook 2026–27, India is set to remain the G20’s top performer, with GDP projected to grow by 7% in 2025, 6.4% in 2026, and 6.5% in 2027. The agency credited India’s strong domestic demand, rising exports, and economic resilience amid global headwinds for sustaining its growth momentum. “Economic growth is supported by robust infrastructure spending and solid consumption, although the private sector remains cautious about business capital spending,” Moody’s wrote in its report.
