USA: Erst Venezuela, jetzt Grönland? "Man darf nicht vergessen: USA ist jetzt stark gebunden!"Die FDP-Europapolitikerin und Vorsitzende des Verteidigungsausschusses im EU-Parlament, Marie-Agnes Strack-Zimmermann, hat die jüngsten Drohungen aus dem Umfeld der Trump-Administration mit Blick auf Grönland scharf kritisiert. Man müsse Äußerungen eines „irratischen Präsidenten“ sehr ernst nehmen, warnte sie im Gespräch mit WELT. Ein Angriff eines NATO-Mitglieds auf ein anderes wäre „der Beginn vom Ende der NATO“. Grönland sei Teil des Königreichs Dänemark und stehe nicht zum Verkauf; sicherheitspolitische Fragen in der Arktis seien Aufgabe der NATO insgesamt, nicht der USA allein. Europa müsse jetzt Geschlossenheit zeigen, diplomatisch klare Grenzen ziehen und zugleich seine wirtschaftliche und militärische Stärke ausbauen. Nur ein starkes Europa könne geopolitisch bestehen und verhindern, selbst „Teil der Speisekarte“ zu werden, so Strack-Zimmermann.
