DEUTSCHLAND: "Das hat Frau Weidel im Deutschen Bundestag gesagt!" Jetzt schlägt Markus Söder Alarm!Eine Kommunalwahl in Norddeutschland ist eigentlich kein Ereignis, welches CSU-Chefs kommentieren. Doch dieser Tage ist es anders, auch Söder zieht Lehren aus der Niedersachsen-Wahl.
CSU-Chef Markus Söder hat das Abschneiden von CDU und SPD bei der Kommunalwahl in Niedersachsen gelobt. «Gratulation auch an Wahlkämpfer in Niedersachsen», sagte der bayerische Ministerpräsident nach einer Klausur des CSU-Vorstands in München. Normalerweise sei es nicht seine Aufgabe, eine Kommunalwahl in Niedersachsen zu kommentieren, aber nach der Landtagswahl in Sachsen-Anhalt sei es «schon noch mal bemerkenswert, dass dort Schwarz-Rot stabile und gute Ergebnisse erzielt hat», auch wenn es Verluste gegeben habe.
«Ich finde das auch ein wichtiges Signal, auch wieder ermutigend, dass auch demokratische Vertreter, gerade die auch vor Ort unter Druck stehen, gute Ergebnisse erzielen», betonte Söder.
Die CDU war bei den Kommunalwahlen in Niedersachsen auf Kreisebene erneut stärkste Kraft geworden. Nach dem vorläufigen Ergebnis kommt sie auf 27,2 Prozent, vor der SPD mit 24,6 Prozent. Besonders stark legte die AfD zu: Sie erreicht 15,9 Prozent und damit ihr bislang bestes Kommunalwahlergebnis im Land. CDU und SPD verloren dagegen deutlich. Die Wahlbeteiligung stieg auf 64,6 Prozent.
