Aksi solidaritas untuk seorang pengemudi Ojek Online (ojol) yang tewas di Jakarta berubah menjadi amuk Massa Aksi yang menargetkan fasilitas negara dan melumpuhkan jalur vital nasional.
Dampak paling parah, Jalur Pantura di Brebes lumpuh total akibat adanya pembakaran yang dilakukan massa di tengah jalan.
Selain itu, massa juga menyerang Mapolres Brebes hingga merobohkan pagar, serta membakar fasilitas di Gedung DPRD Brebes.
Sebelumnya, massa yang marah terkonsentrasi di depan Mapolres Brebes.
Mereka melempari petugas yang berjaga dengan batu dan botol plastik.
Aksi saling dorong tak terhindarkan hingga salah satu pagar Mapolres roboh.
Polisi merespons dengan melepaskan tembakan gas air mata untuk membubarkan kerumunan.
Massa sempat mundur, namun kembali lagi melakukan perlawanan. Sejumlah jurnalis yang sedang meliput dilaporkan turut menjadi korban gas air mata.
Tak puas menyerang Mapolres, massa kemudian menyasar Gedung DPRD Brebes yang berada di dekatnya.
Mereka berhasil masuk ke halaman dan melakukan perusakan.
Sejumlah fasilitas seperti meja dan kursi dari dalam gedung dikeluarkan lalu dibakar. Pos penjagaan DPRD juga tak luput dari amukan api.
Kerusuhan ini merupakan buntut dari aksi solidaritas untuk Affan Kurniawan, driver ojol yang tewas terlindas kendaraan taktis Brimob saat demo di Jakarta pada Kamis (28/8) malam.
Massa aksi di Brebes terlihat didominasi oleh anak-anak muda yang masih berusia sekolah menengah atas.
