Menjelang pertemuan diplomatik di Jenewa, Menteri Luar Negeri Iran Abbas Araghchi menyatakan penolakannya untuk berunding selama serangan Israel belum berhenti.
Araghchi tiba di Jenewa untuk membahas krisis nuklir dengan pejabat dari Prancis, Jerman, dan Inggris.
Pertemuan ini menjadi langkah diplomatik besar pertama sejak serangan Israel ke Iran.
Dalam wawancara televisi pemerintah Iran, ia menyebut belum siap berdialog.
Menurutnya, selama agresi Israel berlanjut, tidak ada ruang untuk perundingan.
Ia juga menyatakan bahwa perlawanan Iran akan membuat dunia menjauh dari agresi tersebut.
Sementara itu, Menteri Luar Negeri Inggris David Lammy tetap optimis pada jalur diplomasi.
Lammy melihat peluang solusi damai dalam dua minggu ke depan usai bertemu pejabat AS.
