Sanksi tersebut diputuskan dalam Sidang Komisi Kode Etik Polri di Gedung TNCC Polri, Kamis (4/9/2025) malam.
Rohmat mengatakan, selama puluhan tahun mengabdi di institusi Bhayangkara, tidak pernah sama sekali disidang.
Ia melanjutkan bahwa dirinya merupakan tulang punggung keluarga yang harus membiayai kedua anaknya.
"Yang pertama sedang kuliah yang kedua memiliki keterbatasan mental dan tentunya keduanya membutuhkan kasih sayang dan biaya kuliah maupun kelangsungan hidup," ujar Rohmat.
Rohmat lantas memohon kepada pimpinan Polri agar terus bisa mengabdi hingga pensiun.
"Karena kami tak punya penghasilan lain yang mulia kami hanya mengandalkan gaji Polri yang mulia," imbuhnya.
Sambil menahan tangis dan mengepalkan tangan di dada, ia menegaskan bahwa selama ini hanya mengabdi untuk masyarakat.
Tidak ada niat maupun kesengajaan untuk mencelakai Affan Kurniawan.
