Pemberian rekomendasi kepada Bobby tersebut dilakukan oleh Wakil Ketua Umum PKB Jazilul Fawaid di kantor DPP PKB Jakarta pada Kamis (7/4/2024) sore tadi. Bobby turut hadir dalam pemberian rekomendasi tersebut.
Dengan rekomendasi ini, secara sah Wali Kota Medan tersebut mengantongi dukungan dari PKB untuk maju di Pilkada 2024.
Kini koalisi yang mendukung Bobby di Pilkada Sumatera Utara semakin besar yakni ada PKB, kemudian sebelumnya ada Golkar, Gerindra, Nasdem, PAN, Demokrat, dan PPP.
Menurut Jazilul koalisi tujuh parpol itu merupakan koalisi yang besar. Ia bahkan menyebutnya sebagai superkoalisi.
Jazilul berharap dukungan besar ini bisa membuat Bobby memenangkan kontestasi di Sumut.
Sebelumnya, ada dua nama yang dipertimbangkan oleh PKB untuk maju pada Pilkada Sumatera Utara, yakni Bobby Nasution dan mantan Gubernur Sumatera Utara Edy Rahmayadi.
Bobby dan Edy sama-sama sempat mengikuti proses uji kelayakan dan kepatutan yang digelar PKB. Namun, pada akhirnya, PKB memutuskan untuk mengusung Bobby.
