SYL Divonis 10 Tahun Penjara Buntut Kasus Korupsi, Keluarga & Sang Anak Menitikkan Air Mata

Selain itu hakim juga menjatuhkan denda sebesar Rp300 juta subsider empat bulan kurungan.
SYL wajib membayar uang pengganti sejumlah Rp14,6 miliar dan 30.000 dolar AS.
Berdasarkan pantauan Tribunnews.com, beberapa keluarga SYL tampak hadir di ruang sidang.
Adik SYL dan anak lelakinya terlihat menitikkan air mata saat hakim membacakan vonis.
Majelis Hakim menilai, SYL dan anak buahnya telah melanggar Pasal 12 huruf e Juncto Pasal 18 Undang-Undang RI Nomor 31 Tahun 1999 tentang Pemberantasan Tindak Pidana Korupsi Juncto Pasal 55 Ayat (1) ke-1 Kitab Undang-undang Hukum Pidana (KUHP) Juncto Pasal 64 Ayat (1) KUHP sebagaimana dakwaan Pertama.
Vonis ini lebih ringan dari tuntutan Jaksa Penuntut Umum (JPU) KPK, yaitu 12 tahun penjara.
Hakim menilai hal-hal yang meringankan SYL satu di antaranya:
1. SYL berusia lanjut 69 tahun
2. Belum Pernah dihukum
3. Memberikan kontribusi positif selaku Menteri Pertanian dalam penanganan krisis pangan saat pandemi covid-19.
4. Dapat penghargaan dari pemerintah RI atas hasil kerjanya.
Sementara hal-hal yang memberatkan:
1. Berbelit-belit
2. Tidak memberikan teladan yang baik sebagai pejabat publik.
3. Tidak mendukung program pemerintah memberantas korupsi, kolusi, nepotisme
