Un súper bólido podría haber impactado en Georgia, Estados Unidos y uno de sus restos dañado una casa. Un súper bólido es un asteroide o fragmento de cometa que al entrar en la atmósfera terrestre supera en brillo a la Luna llena. Y este lo superó con creces ya que fue visible con intensidad a plena luz del día. Si hubiera ocurrido de noche hubiera iluminado todo el paisaje a su paso como un pequeño Sol. Su camino por la atmósfera fue lo suficientemente brillante como para ser visto por el satélite de observación terrestre GOES-19 de la Administración Nacional Oceánica y Atmosférica (NOAA) , utilizando un instrumento diseñado para mapear los destellos de los rayos de tormenta desde la órbita. El bólido fue avistado por primera vez a 77 kilómetros sobre la ciudad de Oxford, Georgia, viajando a unos 48.000 km/h, según informó Bill Cooke, director de la Oficina de Entorno de Meteoroides de la NASA.
