Komandan Operasi KKB Tewas Ditembak! TNI Berhasil Kuasai Markas Utama Pegunungan Papua

Peristiwa itu merupakan serangan balasan yang dilancarkan oleh kelompok bersenjata KKB setelah markas utama mereka berhasil dikuasai TNI sehari sebelumnya, pada 5 Oktober 2025.

Dalam kontak senjata tersebut, satu orang anggota KKB atas nama Mayu Waliya berhasil dilumpuhkan.
Identitas korban baru dapat dipastikan pada 8 Oktober 2025, setelah tim berhasil membuka dan mengidentifikasi data dalam telepon genggam yang ditemukan di lokasi kejadian.
Dari hasil pemeriksaan, diketahui bahwa Mayu Waliya menjabat sebagai Komandan Operasi Kodap XII/Lanny Jaya di bawah pimpinan langsung Purom Okiman Wenda.
Sebelumnya, pada 5 Oktober 2025, Satgas TNI dari Koops Habema berhasil menguasai salah satu markas utama KKB Kodap XII/Lanny Jaya pimpinan Purom Okiman Wenda di wilayah pegunungan Unambunggu.
Markas tersebut diketahui menjadi pusat koordinasi kelompok bersenjata yang selama ini aktif melakukan aksi kekerasan terhadap aparat keamanan dan masyarakat sipil.
Keberhasilan TNI menguasai markas itu memukul kekuatan OPM di kawasan Lanny Jaya.
